A small alien nation in a distant galaxy, whom at this very moment are fighting their own version of the Revloution, will find this technology smashed into the side of a mountain. By then a government of sorts will have been established and will cover it up with millions of dollars in 'dip-spit-alas' (a.k.a taxes). They will then use this "alien" technology to develop velcro. Sadly shortly later it will become unpopular by the very soceity that paid for it's secrecy.
