if he was flat out stealing i do see your point but the fellow seemed genuinely interested in helping clear up the problems. While ignorance of the law is no excuse, this isnt exactly clear cut copright infringement.. if the pic is drawn wouldnt it be art ? In a case like this i would think in everyones best interest to work out a solution instead of resorting to bannings and such..
such as perhaps a discounted content rate or something where the people involved agree to purchase said pictures for a fee before altering/drawing them.. this would give the content providers a chance to make more money and a much wider array of content for the artists
