I have a friend on her 2nd Defender and she loves it. But I know someone who had a Range Rover and HATED IT.

I looked at the LR5 (I think that's what it's called) and the reports on it didn't look promising. I wouldn't have minded so much if the nearest dealership wasn't 70 miles away.

I ended up with the Jeep Grand Cherokee Hemi. I love it and if you're not going to go offroad, get the SRT8.

The BEST thing to me was being able to go "Land Rover School". But it's funny - my friends have said you sign a disclaimer that says they aren't responsible for any damages to your car, but they'll fix it at discount. VERY clever way to get another income stream ;)
