I meant, you can subscribe to mailing lists, that alert you via email about new viruses. Some people, believe it or not, actually sign up for these.
Me, i don't really care. I back everything on my computer up on a remote hard disk drive on a regular basis. I don't have any information that would ruin me if it were to get out, so i don't really care about my system security to be honest.
