I agree with most of that. I don't think they should have locked and pulled his domain until he's actually proven guilty, charged with something, or ordered to do so.
I think they should have reported it to the domain owner, the host, and appropriate authorities to deal with. Let them order the registrar to shut it down after investigation by those who are probably better trained and experienced to deal with it.
