I ask this on GFY cause its faster.

Starting at point A a ship sailts 18.5km on a bearing of 189 then turns and sailts 47.8 km on a bearing of 317. Find distance of ship from point A.

Review for finals and the wording of this question is complicated.

Would the bearings be the same as starting at point A (origin) and heading S9W and then turn S47E?
