TDF, you are nicer than I would be. Frankly, we've got more idiot newbie competition than we really need. If one of my friends who had as little knowledge as you say your friend has came to me and said 'Hey, start me off. I wanna be a millionaire too!!' I'd tell them to fuck off. I suppose its harsh, and I'm not trying to bogart the porn empire pie, but I've got my own work to do rather than try and hand hold some newbie through his first free-hosted free sites and avs sites. If he really wants to get started, tell him to learn a bit of the basics somewhere and then do it the way most of us did.
1. Trawl the info sites. I won't post URL's but there are a few out there as I'm sure we all know
2. Sign up with free-hosting and get free content
3. Build sites and submit them to TGP's and AVS's
4. Keep building and wait for money to start coming in to finance private hosting and better content
I'll tip my hat to you if you walk him through all that but I gotta say, I wouldn't bother.
