part of history that we should forget

While I suspect you are ESL, that's got to be about the stupidist fucking thing I've ever seen posted here.
What if your grandpa/grandma/dad/mom/brother/sister/uncle/aunt/whoever died during the war? Would you still say we should forget about it? So few WW2 vets are left to tell the stories first hand, we should do everything we can to remember what happened not only in Pearl Harbor but throughout the entire war.
I have a family member who fought the japanese in Indonesia, He's seen and experienced things that would make you want to curl up in a little tiny fucking ball and die. 60+ years later he still has regular nightmares and still can't talk about some of his experiences. Your post is a fucking insult to him and every other veteran of any conflict. Maybe you should tell him to forget about it, I bet his 84 year old ass would give you a fucking beat down.
Here is one story his son told me, you tell me if we should forget about it:
The japs would sneak into their camp in the dead of night and start cutting the throats of every 2nd or 3rd man while they slept, leaving the others alive to wake up and see their friends dead next to them. How would you like to wake up and see your buddy stone cold dead next to you, and then continue on with your day? Think you could just forget about it?
Maybe some of the vets who post here can tell us some of their war horror stories, or do you think they've forgotten about them? There's enough vets on this board I'm sure some of you have been through some pretty fucked up things.
But you're right, let's forget about all the people who sacrified their lives for _all of us_. Let's pretend it never happened. Fucking tool. I can only hope you meant to say "never forget".
