Good content can carry a gallery buy itself. The better the content the more simple the layout on the gallery needs to be.
Let them see it and showcase itself.
Content Scripts just cant do this so hosted galleries allways looks flat nothing beats hand croping and photoshop to bring out the best in galleries.
