hehe... nice attempt at sales spew edgeprod.
They got to have a credit rating and prob based on previous spending, what is known in the background and only old crap they can find to assess their victims etc. Don't use Amex anymore on principle, but used to, and prob the largest transaction I had was about $60K something (about 30K UK pounds) for a hotel/conference bill - was a matter of paying the hotel by check or a card, - so thought I'd play with Amex. Oddly, the transaction went thru OK - tho they never knew me from Adam (hardly ever used the card).
