You can blame everyone you want for your lot in life. You can blame your parents for bringing you into the world, you can blame your parents for not raising you right, you can blame your teachers for not teaching you well, you can blame society for not understanding you, you can blame politicians for your economic condition, you can blame anyone for anything.

And it won't make a fucking little bit of difference.

Until and unless you realize and act upon the fact that you are totally 100% responsible for yourself and your life, you wil remain a little kid...whining that Daddy and Mommy did this or Teacher did that.

It is not anybody else's job to prepare you for the "real world". Parents and Teachers can provide all the tools and information in the world. Until you pick up the tool and use it, until you digest the information provided and understand it and turn it into knowledge, it is a waste of time and effort on their part.

The world is big and scarey, yes. It is also full of wonder and interest. If you get kicked out, stick a fucking backpack on your bag, shove a dollar in your pocket, get to the highway and stick out your thumb. See where you end up.

That's just my two cents.

(left home at 16, havent been back since, now have 2 21 year old kids, one at home, one in the Navy...just for perspective)
