little help with indoor lighting setup please guys

Will be taking pics of a chic and car this weekend and need some advice.

The space will be a warehouse (~300sq metres) - have organised a nice backdrop with a car etc..

I'm interested in figuring out what I should be using for lighting? I've got a few flood lights(halogens) and remember reading someone mention that softening the light with a sheet infront of it (1 or 2 metres) does wonders??

I usually take motorsport action shots only, so I basically have nfi if i'm heading in the right direction here.

How high should the lights be placed? I have extensions on the lights but they only reach about 1.6 metres.

Model : very dark tan (not sure if this will make a difference with the lighting??)

Any help here is very much appreciated.
