So let's say you don't pay your electric bill for 2 months. You've paid it every month for the past 10 years on time. The electric company sends you a letter saying your account is past due and your account will be shut off. Keep in mind the electric company much like any other business probably doesn't give a flying fuck about how long you've been a customer, if you don't pay they're not going to keep the power flowing for free. Do you:
a) Pay your bill
b) Call the electric company and let them know payment is coming
c) Wait until the lights are off, then post a message on goelectrocuteyourself.com crying about how the electric company fucked you over because they should have known there were emergency circumstances that prevented you from paying on time.
Web hosting is a business. You don't pay your bill, you get shut off, it's pretty simple. How you can come and post here crying about how phatservers fucked you over is fucking _laughable_. You could have picked up the phone and called someone, instead you come here and try and make them look bad.
You're too lazy to call them or pay them, but you have the time to post here about it, that's some great fucking business sense there dude.
And because they suspended your account you are going to switch hosts now? Do you understand that it costs money to run a hosting company? Connecting all those tubes together and shining light into them isn't free. Regardless of how long you have been a customer to expect that your host is just going to keep your sites on with no payment and no contact from you is pure hilarity.
Funny how it's always the hosts fault in situations like this. Paying your hosting bill should be your #1 priority. From what I can tell by reading this thread _YOU_ fucked up, Phatservers did exactly what they should have done. I would have done the same thing in their shoes. Just because you post on GFY and/or you are a top notch guy doesn't mean jack fucking shit. Money talks and bullshit walks. Looks like you are walking to another host now, will you post on GFY in a couple months when baddog shuts you off for non payment and say how hard his hosting company sucks just like phatservers and webair do?
So just a quick recap for everyone:
1. Guy doesn't pay hosting bill
2. Guy's account is disabled for non payment
3. Guy comes and cries on GFY saying the company sucks
4. Hosting company comes and reveals the truth behind the situation
5. Guy keeps yapping about how the hosts lack of mind reading ability is why they suck, and that even if you don't pay your hosting bill your sites should stay up, and if they don't the host must obviously SUCK.
With all due respect fatman1, you've got a pretty fucking funny way of looking at things.
Now if you'll excuse me I am going to stop paying all my bills without calling the companies to let them know why. After a few months and a notice or two once all my utilities get shut off I'm going to come here and cry about it. Who's got my back?
Oh and one more thing fatman1, are you going to (or have you) pay phatservers the past due ammount or are you just going to say fuck it and rip them off? Just curious.
