As for a feminine side being "contagious" -- there's a bigger problem than just receding ball lines. There's also guys who cope with their receding ball lines by becoming big bad misogyny-spouting "ima kick yo ass bitch, bros not hoes, etc etc" keyboard warriors who in offline life are probably over-30 nobodies living with Mommy and who never ever touched a girl's hoohoo. Then there are the guys who go way the fuck the other direction and actually DO beat people up, kill, rape, etc. Both kinds suck.
A "feminine side" isn't always a bad thing, okay? It's the male (and female, as well) PC idiots who take it too far and lose all sense of proportion and sense that make me ashamed to be female. I LIKE being feminine. I LIKE cooing over cute kitties and being empthetic to others and knowing better than to fart/burp/scratch in public, or having the ability to have multiple orgasms. Those are all nice things. But I ALSO reserve the right to be assertive, to not let people push me around, and to do classically masculine stuff if I so choose. (Like fuck chicks.

So if you'll excuse me, I have some important "feminine" stuff to do, like drink my morning coffee and take 7 advil because I'm getting my period and I have cramps...which are painful enough that I doubt anyone with XY chromosones could deal with without curling up in a little whining ball in the corner.
