OT - Is this kind of business FRAUD or not in Holland?
This question concerns holland, but i'm sure it's not any different in most industrialized countries too.
If you buy and prepaid a product and don't get it after 15 days.
The company which should ship you the product says that their delay is depending on their own manufacturer/ware seller.
But meanwhile, they drop the product's price considerably, while they are not even able to ship it.
Is this legal ? Or just deceiving ?
The thing is , i ordered a 22" monitor from a company in holland.
Although, i tried to contact them daily via email/phone/fax, they never respond. Just after threatening with legal action, the owner contacts me back and says he has also rights blablablaaaah... He promised me to give me out an update about when to espect that monitor.
15 days since he received the payment, but still no status about the ware.
Still, he drops the price of the ware constantly, in order to stay on top of those smartshopper sites (i found out he does it with most articles - and reading the feedback from other customers, they still don't have their ware, or they wait up to 3 months for getting their stuff).
Is this fraud ? I would say it is, because he's even able to get the ware, or he waits as long as he has enough orders of the same product (like some other angry customer suspects too).
Is there anything to do about that in Holland? I'm not dutch myself and only live for ~3 years here and thus not very elaborated with the dutch law system.
Thanks for any input!
Michael
PS : If you live in holland, never ever buy your stuff at digiworld.nl.
They're the worst company i've had to do with since buying my stuff in holland. Norrod did always well for me, although their stuff is much more expensive.
PPS : Trying to get as much information as possible, from different sources, that's why i'm posting it here too.
