A New Mexico resident got a little something extra when he recently purchased a used car that contained 22 pounds worth of marijuana hidden under the rear seats, with an estimated value of $28,000.
The Eunice resident told police he purchased the vehicle in nearby Hobbs. Lea County Drug Task Force Commander Allyn Pennington said that although they had no comment on why the drugs were there, they are investigating the matter.
He also praised the owner of the vehicle, saying he did the right thing.
