I was in the same boat a couple years ago... 23 in a relationship of 5 years. There were no problems, but there came a point where it came to a standstill. It was kind of understood that we were going to get married. So I had the ring, but none of that jazz, which was fine at the time. But then we mutually decided we were only taking that step because we didn't know what else to do. So we just broke up right then. It was so non-chalant. It has been a couple years now, and I have since decided that I now owe it to myself to serial date.
But congrats to you! I guess valor is not outdated....
