We have a fake 1950's silver tree with Color Wheel. Its pretty nice and we have a shitload of ornaments from the 1930's - 1960's that we hang on it.
We had real trees for years here but we both got tired of screwing with them in the end, plus cleaning the mess of them up.
I'd rather go see a tree in the woods in nature where its meant to be, not in my living room strung up with lights as its dying in front of the family.
If I could get a holographic tree that is just projected in my living room I'd be in heaven.
