ok so i want to shoot some at 300 dpi is raw my only option to get 300 dpi? (or raw + jpg?)

jebus where in the hell do i get this software to read the cr2 files (digital photo professional?). i must have spent an hour googling and another hour on canons website only to find updates to the software.
