TMM is proud to announce the release of our latest version of NATS - version 3.1!
Too Much Media is proud to announce the release of our latest version of the Next-generation Affiliate Tracking System - NATS version 3.1!
On Monday, November 20, Too Much Media will be releasing the latest version of the NATS affiliate tracking software, NATS v3.1.14. Our latest version features a barrage of new improvements, updates, corrections, and features. With the release of NATS v3.1.14, Too Much Media is also announcing a change in support policy: With the release of NATS v3.1.14, Too Much Media will be officially discontinuing support of previous versions of NATS (anything lower than NATS 3.1.x) starting February 1st, 2007. This will allow more than 60 days to switch over to the new version of NATS before we discontinue support. While support for legacy versions of NATS will be discontinued, we will still perform upgrades to version 3.1.x after February 1st, 2007. If you are not currently using NATS v3.1.x, please use your ticket system login to request an upgrade. Please note that in order for your server to be able to run NATS v3.1.14, you will need to have your host / server admin or tech install mcrypt for php (with Blowfish and ECB support). If your server does not have mcrypt installed at the time of upgrade, NATS will not function properly with billers and cascading, so it?s important that mcrypt be installed prior to upgrading. Also, all new installations and upgrades require new license files to be placed on the server ? for all Zend users, this will require a full apache stop and start after update. Upgrades will be performed on a first-come, first-served basis.
The latest version of NATS contains all the same great features as the last version of NATS 3.0 (version 3.0.34) as well as some new features, such as the new Instant Payout ability for EPassporte. This feature allows you to enable affiliates for Instant Payments, which will give them the power to execute their payout themselves, via our payments.php script. This script also allows affiliates to see their payout details for each payout, including the paid date, period covered and amount. By default, Instant Payments are disabled for all resellers and you?ll find a new Resellers Admin feature labeled as ?Edit Reseller Admin Information? that will allow you to edit their Instant Payment settings. These settings can also be found on the Reseller Overview page in the Resellers Admin.
Also in the Resellers Admin, you?ll find our new Activity Report feature. At the top of the page, next to the ?home? tab, you?ll find a new tab called ?Activity Report?. This new report allows you to generate a configurable list of affiliate data, based on date criteria and statistical filters, such as quantity of raw hits, unique hits, signups, and payment amounts. This will allow you to generate a contact list for poorly performing affiliates or even affiliates who are performing very well and use the list to send tips on improving, or compliments for a job well done. This will also allow you to pull information that could be used for tax reporting purposes, since you can include dollars earned for a specified period of time and also information for each affiliate including name, address, and Tax ID.
Implemented in NATS 3.0.30, the CCBill Paid Programs feature has been available and is also included in NATS 3.1.14. This feature allows you to track programs paid by CCBill directly through NATS along side your own programs, with full statistical information, but leave the payouts to CCBill. The first time an Affiliate gets a link code or ad using the CCBill paid program they will be presented with a form so they can fill in their current CCBill ID or sign up for the CCBill program. NATS will send their CCBill code along to CCBill when the join form is submitted so that the affiliate will be credited for that sale.
Other 3.0.x features that are improved and available include the recently added Reward Points admin and the BYOA (Build Your Own Anything) module. The Rewards Admin allows you to manage your own rewards points, the shipping, and points assigned to the resellers. Previously, this required direct changes to the tables in the database, now you have a Rewards Admin that allows you to configure and specify the rewards, establish a global and/or affiliate specific pointing system and it also allows you to track shipped and unshipped rewards redemption orders. The BYOA module gives you the ability to assign ads or tours to the creators and pay them a commission on every sale made using their custom work. For each ad, you can specify which program the ad is available to and which affiliate is the owner for that ad. This feature is also implemented at the program level, where you can create a specific program that will define the payout for the BYOA any ads using this program. This may also have affiliate specific payouts for their ads in that program.
In addition to the previously detailed features, NATS v3.1.14 has also added many other great new features ? including, but not limited to:
Members Admin:
- There is a new Configuration Admin option to filter out ?never joined? members (status 0) to improve the ease of using the Members Admin.
- There is also a new feature in conjunction filtering out never joined members that will also omit them from your member searches.
- You man now search for members by member id.
Affiliates Admin:
- A new Configuration Admin feature has been added to allow you to filter out banned affiliates from your list of affiliates to improve the ease of using the Resellers Admin.
- You may now search for affiliates by URL.
Sites Admin / Join Form:
- In addition to the previous ability to specify a word list for random usernames and passwords, there is a new Smarty variable to generate completely random usernames and passwords (completely random characters). This feature does not require you to specify a word list.
Join Options:
- Disallow Old Members ? this allows you to disallow old members from joining your site with this specific join option. This uses username and/or password to determine if this member has previously had a full or trial membership for this site and if so, they may not join the site with the specified account information for any join options for which this feature has been enabled.
- The Free Pre-Initial option allows you to enable free trials for specific join options, rather than $0 for X days, which can cause problems with some billers.
- The Active For All Programs check box allows you to specify whether or not this option will be enabled or disabled for all programs by default. This can save you time when adding a join option that?s only for a small number of programs, but this site is a part of a large number of programs.
Verified / Unverified Sales:
- Sales are now broken down by Verified and Unverified classifications. A Verified Sale is one such that the member has signed up and actually logged in to the site for which he or she has paid. There is also an option to verify the sale based on a credit card hash value that some billers return to NATS upon successful completion of a transaction. If the CCHASH is being used and several transactions occur during a short period of time, only the first one for that credit card hash will be counted as verified.
Bug Fixes and Feature Improvements:
- The Profit / Loss Report will now correctly display the total for Extended Payouts.
- The usr_us_w9 Smarty variable for use on members (affiliates) templates will now correctly set the value to false only if the affiliate is both a US affiliate and they have not yet completed. It will return true if they are in the US and have submitted W9 information or if they do not live in the US (so that the template will not display any W9 request messages to non-US affiliates).
- The ?Duplicate Site? feature now copies all current site options, except biller specific and join options, to a new blank site. Previously this feature did not correctly copy all pertinent information.
- WTS check auths are now listed as pending transactions and can be seen on the Profit / Loss report. Pending transactions will be removed when they are completed and a regular transaction will be created when the pending check auth clears.
- The Profit / Loss report will now display full site name, in alphabetical order, when broken down by site.
- Several improvements have been implemented to increase the functionality and reliability Localbilling, especially concerning our error reporting back Localbilling during interactive transaction processing.
New Billers
The following billers have now been fully implemented in NATS v3.1.14:
- Pure Vanilla
- Netcash
- Webpay
- Wmp
