I have hundreds of youtube vids embedded on blogs, bbses and regular HTML pages and have never had any load trouble. I really don't know how Youtube does it. There must be a load balancing patent pending at work in there somewhere. Plus, I think when the video preview is not quite ready, it loads a black filler slug ASAP that does not seem to stand in the way of the other page lements loading.
