Never been in a shaker scenario where there was real damage Martin - suppose if that was the preamble, the real thing has got to be a stunner. Still amazed that the damaged caused to homes etc is so very minimal. The constuction techniques are prob relevant - our place on the island is built on a concrete slab, so the house kinda "floats" on the concrete foundation when there is earth movement.
The main possible problem in the Caribbean and Gulf area are hurricanes - far more than earth tremors. Ain't life one big adventure?
