A good join page, in my opinion: It looks like it belongs to the site (many do not), it clearly points out what the new member gets (which sites can I access, how much for how many days) and it doesn't ask for credit card details on the first page, "soft version".
It's amazing how much effort some programs put in tour pages, just to throw up an ugly join page that irritates the visitor...especially those already checked cross-sale checkboxes some programs hide in their signup forms don't make a site look very thrustworthy
