They've been around for a long time, I don't follow them anymore.

And old article on funwebproducts, but it tells you what it is and what it does.

http://www.networkworld.com/newslett.../1208web2.html

If you go to funwebproducts, this is from their EULA (you can read the whole thing here http://helpint.mywebsearch.com/intlinfo/eula/eula.jhtml ) - look at the URL, no longer funwebproducts...:

"We reserve the right to add additional features or functions to the existing Software. When installed on your computer, the Software periodically communicates with our servers. We may require the updating of the Software on your computer when we release a new version of the Software, or when we make new features available. This update may occur automatically or through other means and may occur all at once or over multiple sessions."

This is what Sunbelt has to say about funwebproducts:

http://research.sunbelt-software.com...reatid=14 912

The important part here is this section under "description":

"Fun Web Products bundles adware software in its products."

Funwebproducts itself is not THE problem, it's what comes with it that could be. It all depends on what surfers downloaded on their site and what they got hit with as part of the free download.
