Tut tut... another "human relations" problem with thugs in control. WTF is wrong with cops when they can't manage an idiot when there are two officers present - and in camera view with others looking on?
Funny story... About six months back a little lady lawdog friend had a problem with another idiot who had this desire to assault her. (He never knew she was law) First round was a bang on the jaw and he was on the floor and told to remain there. But... he would not do as he was told and started again. His nose then got broken and back on the floor. But... once again, he could not stay there. Next he got his collar bone broken and back on the floor - where he elected to stay. She called an ambulance and they took over.
A day later they were all in court - the guy gets taken into court in a wheelchair and starts bullshit about "attempted murder". The judge is passed a paper with the creds of the lawdog and mutters, "Looking at the ability of Miss X, I think if she wanted to murder you, that would not be a problem. Why would she assault you in the first instance? What did you do to warrant this assault?" He then rambled on about the guy being a "poor specimen of a man" blah and ordered him wheeled out of court.
Sometimes it may be necessary to do "whatever" - but it's a matter of judgement and where this is necessary to achieve an end

The background is the lady is a govt officer engaged in an undercover capacity and the only person who knew this was the judge. Only trouble is she loves giving rednecks an elbow direct into a face - it's not the first time
