True PS, tho it can't do much harm to have a chat with the law and let them to the work - free

If there is any problem, they may act, but chances are you will get feedback which could be helpful in other avenues.
I got a case going on now - has been going on for almost two years now - and is a lot of work preparing docs for attack, but the funds are worth the effort and just ready to take it to court. In the process (and thanks to em) there has been a lot of help from the law in other countries. At the end of the day, little doubts there will be jail time, but also little doubts all funds will be retrieved (that's safely locked into a bank and they are not letting em go to the alleged perps)
I may be jaded over Paymonde/Funds2Go, but seen a very similar scenario with this current case - hiding behind corps blah. It may be an innocent scenario where a few people got together to offer processing (and prob without any biz accumen in this area), but smells to hell and back.
The law *may" be able to give you some help on this - they know their territory, - even if it's not an issue of criminal behavior.
