Thanks man. You just can't expect to have a true democracy, where all religions are supposedly protected by the constitution and everyone is entitled to their own set of beliefs, and have a mainly christian agenda pushed on everyone. Separation of church and state is absolutely imperative.
Barry Goldwater was the first true liberal...even though he was a Conservative. Conservatives should take a note from the old days, Goldwater believed in separation of church and state and he believed in the Government staying the fuck out of people's private lives for the most part. That's where it needs to be.
Middle of the road Conservatives and Middle of the road Liberals would do this country a lot of good. You just can't have it slanted so far to the left or right. There has to be a medium set of values that both parties can work together with.
I would like to actually see the Dems try to tighten down on the amount of church that's involved with the state now that they have both houses, but I don't think it's on their agenda at this point.
