I was involved in an abortion problem a couple of months ago. My girlfriend's 17 year old daughter got knocked up by the 20 year old love of her life, who, of course, wasn't seen any more after he found out the girl was pregnant. Question was either to
1. abort the fetus, finish school, go to college, get a job, find a decent guy, marry, and have a family later
or
2. Have the baby, drop out of school, go on welfare and have a kid raise a kid without a father.
As long as they haven't found a way how men can carry out a baby, men can make suggestions and offer their financial support for their own child, but shouldn't have any say, especially not if they are irresponsible deadbeats.
What bothers me about the question is that the political term "pro life" has found its way in our every day language because it implicates that a woman who decides nbot to have a baby is "against life". The funny thing is that those who politically are "pro life" and want to save "unborn life" often don't give a rats ass about born life.
If you are agaisnt abortion you are "pro life" if you are against a war you are an unpatriotic coward. Isn't that how this type of logic works.
