A deal is done on something.
A real product. Supply price agreed verbally and terms, even of shipment, have been verbally established and agreed.
Deal is as a wholesaler that does not infringe on the companies existing key marketing channels and addresses a market area that is not currently even serviced on the level proposed.
Supplier company reps insists on a contract based on minimum buys at a set price in return for exclusivity in a certain area, to which you say "Sure, have it drafted", as that makes good business sense and you want the same protections they seek.
They then dodge you for ages and then when you eventually track them down after chasing them for weeks on end they tell you they are happy to pursue your amazing business opportunity with them and they will take your money for a huge stock investment but now do not want a contract and also now will now not give you exclusivity - leaving you open for them to fuck you on supplying others or others direct around you.
So when you say "Thanks, but no thanks", they call you "unprofessional".
And we are talking a minimum upfront investment in inventory of 6 figures for 4000 units and then a MINIMUM of 1000 units per month, reviewable after 12 months, a was the original verbal agreement they insisted on ?
What idiot would front a minimum upfront of $120k to wholesale a product that said company can then fuck you at will by allowing anyone to cirumvent you as the wholesaler ?
Some people better be VERY fucking careful about how they toss words around over ICQ and they how talk to some people.
Wonder of the guys who employ such word tossers actually know just how much these guys may have cost them ?
Maybe the MANY rumors I have heard may be true based on this experience.
Oh well, I will be seeing them soon enough. See if they mouth bthe same words face-to-face
