I don't agree with that remark.

My dad taught me to fish, fix things around the house, drive a car, tune a TV, program the VCR and the other "man stuff" while I was young.

My dad taught me a hell of a lot of things on how to take care of a family well before I was even thinking about girls.

Daughters can and have been learning this stuff well before the later part of high school. It's not like their focusing on their career from when they are 5 years of age.
