i was extremely sceptical before i heard this album... several reasons: His first album had extremely good production, but somehow it didnt stick to me... it sounded to much like an overproduced marketable piece of work, with a mediocre overhyped rapper with an extremely boring voice. I still think this about his first album.
So i popped the doctors advocate in and it's actually a damn good album! It doesnt have the fake hype thing of the first album, although it is extremely well produced. I also like the different types of songs, for instance 'compton' is a raw old skool track with a beat resembling the 'straight outta compton' beat. Very nice! This album is way better then his first effort.
only bad tracks on the album are:
- "Wouldnt get far", typical fast-forwarded-old-song-beat by kanye west. Sucks.
- "Around the world" with jamie foxx. Jamie foxx. R&B. Sucks.
- "Why you hate the game" ft. Nas. Could have been a very tight track with this guest, unfortanelty they fucked it up.
The rest of the total of 16 tracks is good to very good... definately worth downloa... erm... buying!
