Murray Walker made F1 on TV for me. I particularly liked it when he was working with James Hunt, because the contrast between them was so sharp.
Murray: There's a fiery glow coming from the back of the Ferrari
James: No Murray, that's his rear safety light
I remember one time it was getting close to the end of a season and he explained how whichever almost-champion it was had told him not to say
anything about his chance of winning, because he was sure that if Murray did, it wold jinx him
