Took my kids out and was surprised at all the dark houses in the neighborhood. (Houses with front lights turned off)
We just walked a bit more, talked, and they had a great time as they didnt even seem to notice.
Afterall, Halloween is for the kids anyway. It seems to be lagging compared to my childhood memories, but the memories are good enough for me, as long as the kids are happy.
