Little doubts they would like to be officially dead, but sadly corporate legalities continue onwards and, if need be, are personally directed at past officers, regardless of the existance of the company.
Sure.. somehow I smell one or more future lawsuits. Things are always done for a reason - it may not be the reason which can be claimed as the obvious one.
