What I think is most unusual is that Republicans support their party these days mostly because of the war on terror. Yet consider that the citizens under the most threat of terrorism all vote Democrat. All of the big cities throughout the US vote Democrat. Every single one of them. So basically what you have are rural Republicans telling the city dwellers that they know what's best for them.
