Following up with what Jace mentioned... you could add a variable as part of the url that controls the # of items to include inside the feed. You'd probably need to change the .html files to php ones to do this, but its more than worth it.
Also, another good point by jace, make every single link inside the RSS affiliate-friendly. RSS is a method of data transfer--affiliates may use these in different ways (ie: syndication script. plugin, etc.) and you must be ready to credit them for their efforts.
