The technology progressed quickly & was sold widely, thus the increase. Not to mention peoples bottom line dropping, which led to thousands of people turning to spam.
It's a horrible but inevitable thing since 9/11.......
These companies need to have companies register their url with them to send out more than (x) #'s of mails with a certain url. If they just blocked (x) domain it would be easy to stop spam.
Spam all has one thing in common, it usually contains a domain name, so as soon as they find out which domains its coming from...just stop all mails containing that link. Duh
