if you don't mind putting you on a seperate new link page I create just for new directories, I can do that, but it won't be on the main pages of my site, it will be linked from the bottom of my main page

thats fine as long as people can get to the page from your main page
the reason i dont agree with baddog is because in most directories the directory isnt linking back from the page your linking to anyway, and even if the index page of the directory is pr5 that means that most likely the sub pages are only pr3 or less, and also since PR is live for all you know based on the links i have coming in already my index pages live PR could be, and probably is already PR4, and I guarentee even if no more blogs link me by the next google update the index page of my directory will be PR4
furthermore, why would i waste the time to get a meaningless toolbar PR to my directory b4 requiring a recip link? by requiring recip links from all submitters in the long run my pr will be higher, and it will further benefit all the people who linked back in order to submit
i understand where you're coming from, but frankly it does not make sense for me to allow free submitters period.
also i'd like to point out i didnt imply in my thread that i was allowing non recip links as I have seen many directory posts on this forum claim to have 'free links' when indeed they are recip only links.
surely you can understand where I am coming from on this, and if you cant just dont bother submitting.
additionally as I invited baddog to do if you'd like to discuss this further feel free to hit me up on icq, and we can further share our views
