There was also the recent press story that smoking marijuana helps prevent alzheimers. It speculated that when people who smoked alot in the 1970's+ get to the alzheimers age, there will be far far fewer people who are afflicted with it.
So you might forget where you put your keys 30 minutes ago, but you'll remember who your children are. Totally fair trade.
