Sorry, but the University is not a court of law. They had every right to suspend the players weather or not a rape occured.
You seem to overlook the fact that under aged drinking occurred and that a hooker/stripper was hired and witnesses claim the players shouted racial slurs and insults at two females. They violated school policy.
Analyse that for a second. A team that represents your school gets the spot light for doing illegal stuff and "picking" on females. As a university president, do you allow this negative attention to your school to go unchecked.
I don't know if the party house was actually on campus but I do know that alcohol is not allowed on Duke's campus at all.
This is in the South! You don't caught with strippers/hookers unless you want to be called a heathen and be disgraced and lose your job.
Some of us have worked in porn so long that we have become illusioned that americans are open about sexuality and see nothing wrong with strippers.
At the very least, hiring the stripper violted the cities "cabaret" law.
Yeah, you need a license to hire a stripper in most cities. This is tool local law enforcement uses to get rid of prostitutes.
The guys fucked up, they drew attention to themselves, they're finished.
You can't put a negative spotlight on an institution like Duke and expect to stay around.
