So, Buddy arrived at LAX about 6 hours before I did thanks to American Airlines, and I had these images of him sitting in his kennel, pissing and laying in his own feces while he waited for my arrival.
As soon as I got off the plane I headed to baggage claim and they were paging me "about my dog." I got a little concerned. I went to the counter and shouted into the office that I was there, when all of a sudden from behind I heard the clinking of a chain.
I turned around and there was Buddy tail wagging, with one of the TSA girls holding his leash. Now, you have to understand that Buddy has has about 45 minutes of leash time the last time I saw him, and he was none to thrilled about it. I figured I was going to have to do some work with him.
Well, turns out he had made friends with about 4 of the girls there, and one of them had taken him outside on his leash and after a few minutes was comfortable with it. I was even able to take him for a walk around the neighborhood after we got home.
I think he is going to like it here.
