I'm not even going to go the route of blaming the surfer. Back when Zangocash were Loudcash I had a few rants on NP about people promoting them. On checking someone's site who I knew had added the loudcash code, I discovered the active-x pop-up was claiming to be an age verifier and was basically telling the surfer they "had" to click ok and install the software to verify they were old enough to view the porn content of the site.
It was definitely Loudcash's way, the wm was a relative newbie and wouldn't have had a clue how to set up active-x himself, he just copied and pasted the code Loudcash gave him to promote them with.
I know a lot of it is games/videos and not reading the license agreement as they install them, but how many of surfers were infected by being mislead that they had to verify their age?
