Kelly is wearing a gray WETSUIT in the picture as he had just finished surfing in a contest in Spain and came out of the water to collect his 8th world title. Over the wetsuit he is wearing a red jersey which is used to help the judges distinguish the different surfers out in the waves. It was cold in Spain so he wore the wetsuit.
