I was having a conversation with a male friend of mine recently in which we were debating why it is that women who aggressively pursue sex are referred to as "sluts", but when men do it it's just "a guy thing".
I agree that the time for females to accept their sexuality and go with it is long past due, but I don't agree with using the term "slut"; to most people, "slut" is a bad thing. There are women who need sex and like sex just as much as men do, and we should be allowed the freedom to go out there and get it without dealing with the "backlash" (not that I personally give a flying shit what anyone else thinks... I do what makes ME happy and to hell with society's bullshit "rules").
It kinda sucks that this woman took a REALLY good idea and had to ruin it by throwing the word "slut" in there.
