The film about it is even better... in the 1930's it was expected for hemp to become a billion dollar crop. The Popular Mechanics article and film went on to describe everything about hemp and how it could be used to revolutionize the textile industries. Showed how hemp was being used to make those giant ropes for navy ships. Fast forward 70 years and we?re no closer now to utilizing hemp than we were in the 30?s.
