Sooo... two years back I
almost began production on a members area for my website. I didn't go ahead because 1: I didn't have enough time to spend on it and 2: I didn't have the right software/equipment. (And 3: I wasn't
that popular but nobody needs to know that!)
Anyway, I'm back on the scene and wow, things have changed! Sites these days offer so much more. I have had numerous offers on getting a paysite up, but what I really want is to run and own it myself. That way I control every aspect of it and can do whatever the hell I like.
Anyway, what would be the best hosting solution for such a website? Where can I get software (without paying cuz I don't have a dollar to my name) that will make it more interactive: ie: web based video chats with members? And how do I do all that affiliates crap and hosted galleries and POTDs and such and such? And the biggest question of all: how do I get it so that if I scedule a chat at, say 9pm on a friday night (for me) others around the world will see it as their own time? If anyone could help me I would very much appreciate it...
