If you are running a VBulletin based forum check out http://www.vbulletin.org and search for 'spam' on their board, you should find a plugin that will allow you to set a post# that will deny users from posting links until they have hit a certain amount of posts.

I have that running on all 15 of my webmaster forums right now and it works great, its cut down the time spent by mods editing or moving posts by almost 70%
