If a sponsor buys traffic from malware that has ripped off a webmaster , the webmaster will make less money , if he makes less money he is likely to go to a sponsor that isnt ripping him off, eventually the malware has nobody to rip off because nobody is promoting the program.

The quick math says sponsor makes more money , the longer math says they are shooting themselves in the foot and making much less money..
