I moved to California on my own at age 20 with $2K I had saved up.
My father always did well, and I was fortunate to grow up in a nice upper middle class lifestyle, but I never had anything handed to me and have always worked hard for my own money since I was a little kid with a newspaper route.
I really can't stand people that get everything handed to them without any effort or work on their part. And I think it totally screws up your kids if you do that to them.
Everyone should work, experience their own successes and failures in business, and build their wealth without a free ride.
