This is strictly for budget networks where the host isn't using a BGP network or connecting to just 1 or 2 cheap carriers.
$800-1000 = cheap deal
$1200 - $1800 = good deal
$2000 + = expensive
for Real managed premium networks
$2200 - $2600 = cheap
$2800 - $3800 = good deal
$4000 + = expensive
Of course your mileage may vary and at the end of the day its matching your revenues against your expenses and making sure the profit makes sense.
If you're making 100x your costs I'd say dont skimp out and go for the host with the most
However if you're marginally in the black go for the cheapest and build your empire up.
